1) Firstly before following this tutorial make sure you have followed the instructions for saving a style in order to have a style to update.
2) Press 'T' to select the text tool and create a text field on your stage. Style the text field according to your design.
3) Choose 'Window' > 'Other Panels' > 'styleManager' to open the Style Manager panel.
4) With the text field selected select the style you wish to update.
5) Click the update icon (two rotating arrows) in the Style Manager panel.
6) When the dialog appears to tell you the style has been updated click 'OK'.
