1) First, ensure that you have installed the Style Manager using the Adobe Extension Manager, then open Flash and start a new file.
2) Press 'T' to select the text tool and draw a text field on your stage.
3) Press Ctrl+F3 (Win) or Cmnd+F3 (Mac) to open the properties panel and style your textfield according to your design.
4) From Flash's Window menu select 'Window' > 'Other panels' > 'styleManager' to open the Style Manager panel.
5) With the text field still selected enter a name for your new style in the Style Manager panel's input field.
6) Click the save icon (the floppy disk on the left).
