Troubleshooting

1. If you find that when using this component in Macromedia Flash MX 2004, you can't see the live preview, please follow these steps:

a. Locate the file called "imagePrev.swf" in the "additional files" folder that was included with your download and copy this file into the folder where the fla containing the imageLoader is saved.

b. In the library, right click on the imageLoader component and choose "Component definition".

 

c. Click on "Set..." alongside the "Live preview" property and choose "Live Preview in external .swf file". Press OK.

The live preview should now work correctly.

 

2. If after exporting the movie you see a red "X", this means that the picture you are trying to load is invalid. For example, if may be a progressive JPEG.
