General Settings

The following parameters should be set, regardless of the data source (XML, text or array).

7 EFFECTS See the effects page.
8 EFFECT SPEED Set the speed for the effect. The higher the number, the slower the speed.
9 PAUSE TIME The time, in seconds, to pause before moving to the next topic. Setting the PAUSE TIME to '0' will cancel automatic pausing.
10 PAUSE OVER Set to 'true' if topic transition should pause when the mouse is over a topic.
11 HAND CURSOR Set to 'true' to display a hand cursor over clickable topics.
12 RANDOM ORDER Set to ‘true’ to display the topics in a random order.
13 BORDER Set to ‘true’ to display a border around the ticker.
14 BORDER COLOR Select the color of the border or enter the hex value of the desired color.
15 BUFFER LEFT Enter the space (in pixels) between the topic content and the left border of the ticker.
16 BUFFER RIGHT Enter the space (in pixels) between the topic content and the right border of the ticker.
17 BUFFER TOP Enter the space (in pixels) between the topic content and the top border of the ticker.
18 SHOW VISITED Set to ‘true’ to change the text color of topics that have been visited. The color is set under VISITED TEXT COLOR (#15).
19 VISITED TEXT COLOR The text color for topics that have been visited. This value is used only if SHOW VISITED (#14) is set to true.
20 EMBED FONTS Set to ‘true’ if the fonts should be embedded. As a mask is integrated into the ticker, we recommend embedding the fonts. If embedded fonts are to be used, the fonts defined must be included in the library or must be embedded in a dynamic textfield on or off the stage. Click here for embedding instructions.

NOTE:
 Embedded fonts must be used when using the fader, dissolve, typewriter and any of the wipeFade effects.
21 TEXT WIDTH Enter the desired display width (in pixels) of the text. Set this value to “0” to set the width automatically, according to the width of the ticker.
22 TEXT ALIGN Select the text alignment - left, right or center.

NOTE:
When using right align with the typewriter effect, the text will scroll in from the right as it appears, letter-by-letter.
23 LINE SPACING Enter the line spacing for the text.
24 IMAGE POSITION

Select the position at which images are displayed (should images be defined): left, right or center

NOTE:
The images are aligned in relation to the position of the text.
Images are positioned below the text.
25 IMAGE VERTICAL Select the vertical image position (top of bottom).
26 IMAGE SPACER Enter the distance (in pixels) between the images and the topic text.
27 DEFAULT FONT

Select the default font that should be used for topic text. This font will be used wherever another font has not been defined in the HTML tags of the topic text.
28 DEFAULT FONT SIZE Enter the default font size. This size will be used wherever a size has not been defined in the HTML tags of the topic text.
29 DEFAULT FONT COLOR Select the default font color (or enter the hex value) for topic text. This color will be used wherever a color has not been defined in the HTML tags of the topic text.
30 BACKGROUND Set to ‘true’ to display a background color behind the ticker.
31 BACKGROUND COLOR Select the color for the ticker background. This value is used only if BACKGROUND (#22) is set to true.
32 ROLLOVER TEXT COLOR CHANGE Select whether to change the topic text color on mouseover.
33 ROLLOVER TEXT COLOR Select the font color (or enter the hex value) for topic text on mouseover. This value is used only if ROLLOVER TEXT COLOR CHANGE (#24) is set to true.
34 ROLLOVER BACKGROUND Set to ‘true’ to display a background color behind the topic text on mouseover.
35 ROLLOVER BACKGROUND COLOR Select the color for the topic text background on mouseover. This value is used only if ROLLOVER BACKGROUND (#26) is set to true.
