General Settings

The following parameters should be set, regardless of the data source (XML, text or array).

  Property Description
9 SCROLL DIRECTION Sets the direction and orientation in which the data will scroll:
  • vertical-incremental: scrolls vertically from top to bottom
  • vertical-decremental: scrolls vertically from bottom to top
  • horizontal-incremental: scrolls horizontally from left to right
  • horizontal-decremental: scrolls horizontally from right to left
10 SINGLE LINE Sets the text to be placed in a single line, or varying width. This should be used in combination with horizontal scrolling.
11 SCROLL SPEED The speed at which the data scrolls. The higher the number, the slower the speed. Please note that the speed can also be affected by the fps, operating system, processor speed, etc.
12 SCROLL INCREMENT The increment (in pixels) at which the ticker scroller. The higher the numbers, the faster the scrolling will be. Note: Higher numbers will be less smooth.
13 PAUSE TIME The approximate pause time before scrolling to the next topic. This speed is dependent on the fps of your movie. For example, if your movie runs at 30fps, set the PAUSE TIME to 30 to pause for 1 second. To pause for 3 seconds, you would set this parameter to 90. Setting the PAUSE TIME to 'zero' will cancel automatic pausing.
14 PAUSE OVER Set to 'true' if scrolling should pause when the mouse is over a topic.
15 HAND CURSOR Set to 'true' to display a hand cursor over clickable topics.
16 BORDER Set to ‘true’ to display a border around the ticker.

2. Buttons are automatic
ally disabled until the first topic has reached the maximum scroll position.

19 BUTTON COLOR Select the color of the buttons or enter the hex value of the desired color.
