Overview

The FlashTexteditor is a v2 Macromedia Flash component that allows for runtime content editing of any Flash textfield. All the properties of the Flash TextFormat object can be applied to the selected text.

Here is the list of features:

• Font formatting: bold, italic, underline, type, size and color.
• Text formatting: alignment, indentation, bullets list, hyperlinking, letter spacing, kerning and align justify.
• Image and swf insertion.
• Special character insertion.
• Toggle HTML.
• Dynamically attach to a text field.
• Flash player 7 and 8 compatible.
• Toolbar customization.
• Cut, copy, paste, find, replace, select all, remove formatting and paragraph formatting.
• Server file browsing and uploading directly from the component (with php and .NET support).
• Tooltips.
• Undo and redo functionality.

In order to use the FlashTextEditor component, you will need Macromedia Flash MX2004 or Flash 8 and the Macromedia Extension Manager.
