Server Compatibility Test

It is wise to perform this test to check the compatibility of your server before attempting to install the fCMSPro. Doing so will allow us to resolve any problems prior to installation.

1. Firstly click here to download the test files.

2. Unzip the file and using ftp software (for example 'Cuteftp' on Windows or 'Captain ftp' on Mac) upload the entire fcmstest folder and all of its contents to the root directory of your site.

3. Navigate to the test.php file on your server, it is located at http://www.[ your domain ]/fcmstest/test.php.

4. Check the compatibility results displayed by the test file. If everything is listed as 'OK' then proceed to the next step. If something isn't listed as 'OK' you will need to address it before continuing. We recommend that you contact your hosts if you encounter any difficulties here as they are in the best position to assist you.

5. Enter your database server address (not your database name), your database username and your database password and click the submit button to check the compatibility of your MySQL setup. If it is adequate the script will tell you it's 'OK', if it is not you will need to contact your hosts to see if they can correct the issue.

6. Once all tests have been passed return to your ftp software and delete the entire fcmstest folder and all of its contents.

You can now proceed to the Backend Installation.
