Adding banner to Flash
| In order for the banner adverts to be displayed in Flash, you must add the bannerRotator component to your Flash movie. Changes made to a specific banner through the admin control panel will be reflected without republishing the Flash movie. |
1. Open your Flash document.
2. Locate the bannerRotator component in the components panel and drag it onto the stage.
| 3. Position the bannerRotator component on the stage and resize it according to the size of the banner adverts that you will be displaying. The top left corner of the bannerRotator will also be the top left corner of the banners displayed. |
| Note: The size of the bannerRotator component will determine the hit area of the banners. Resizing the component will not resize the actual banner adverts. |
4. Select the bannerRotator that is on the stage and enter the following parameters in the component properties panel:
| Banner Group Name | The name of the banner ad group to display. |
| PHP Path | The path to the banner_scripts folder on your webserver. You may wish to use the complete URL here when testing locally. |
| Image Path | The path to the banner_images folder on your webserver. You may wish to use the complete URL here when testing locally. |
| Transition Effect | Select whether to fade banners in and out between transitions. |
| Effect Speed | Enter the speed for the transition effect (if the effect is not "none"). For a faster effect, enter a lower number. |
That's it. The banner will now display in your Flash movie.
