Scroll any movie clip
As long as your content is contained inside a movie clip, you'll be able to scroll it. Simply place the content inside a movie clip and enter the movie clip instance name as the scroll target (note: In some situations, it may be necessary to place the ultimateScroller and the movie clip that is scrolled into their own combined movie clip).
Drag and drop
Simply drag and drop the ultimateScroller onto a movie clip and you're set to go. Change the parameters to suit your desired look using the user friendly component panel. You don't need any coding knowledge to use this.
Easing on/off (choice of speeds)
Built-in easing effect with choice of speeds (low, medium, high, none). This feature will give your sites a slick, cool effect.
Scrolls pixel fonts
The ultimateScroller always scrolls on the whole pixel, ensuring that pixel fonts are kep crisp and clear at all times. Simply place the textfield and movie clip on the whole pixel, and the utlimateScroller will take care of the rest. Get some super cool pixel fonts at www.fontsforflash.com
Static or Dynamic Text
This scroller can be used to scroll both dynamic and static text. Data can be fed to your dynamic textfield any way you please (XML, external text files etc...) As long as the textfield is contained inside a movie clip, the ultimateScroller will be able to scroll it. Easily load scrollable dynamic text using the ultimateScroller together with our free dynamicTextFeeder component.
Choice of Borders (line, 3D, none)
Choose whether to display a border and the style of border to display, 3D or line. Customize the color of each of the border sides.
Mask on/off
Use the built-in mask to automatically confine the displayable contents to the scroll area, or switch the mask off and use your own mask instead.
Horizontal/Vertical scrollbar
This scroller works with both vertical and horizontal scrolling.
Customizable skins and colors
The colors of each element of the ultimateScroller can be set either through the properties panel or through ActionScript. You can also customize the entire look of the scroller with your own skins (change the arrows, scroll track, drag bar, etc...)
Adjusts to movie clip size automatically
The ultimateScroller will automatically adjust to the size of the scrollable movie clip as the movie clip changes size and content. This is particularly useful for movie clips containing dynamic content.
Customizable bottom buffer area
Set the scroll buffer to add more white space to the end of the scrolling movie clip.
Full dynamic control through Actionscript
Attach the scroller to your movie clips dynamically and control all of the properties through ActionScript. Useful built-in commands are includes such as "pageUP/pageDown" and "scrollToTop/scrollToBottom".
